James Taylor started in the construction industry as an assistant safety officer for an Ottawa-based steel company in 1992. He quickly achieved the role as Safety Director for North American Operations with oversight of all the Canadian and US locations. This included Health and Safety; WCB/WSIB; Transportation Safety and Environment.
James was fundamental in the re-assessment and ultimately the relocation of a specific WSIB rate group into a lower-risk rate, saving companies thousands of dollars in that industry. More recently he has been used as a professional witness in a legal matter and coroner’s inquest.
Sharon Corkery joined the company in May 2018. Prior to joining our team, she worked in Alberta working with a scaffolding company. As part of her duties, she performed safety watches, developed fall prevention plans and organised rescue teams (just to name a few).
Sharon is in the process of qualifying for her NCSO designation. Sharon has immersed herself in her new role as a consultant and has become a welcome part of our team.
Daniel had been working in the construction industry for several years exploring multiple different facets of the industry until he decided to make a change and explore the health and safety world. Through a mutual acquaintance we met up. His desire to keep workers safe along with his continued commitment to grow his knowledge have been a nice fit to the company.
Melina first started with us in June 2024 through an internship at Herzing College. After which she was able to secure a fulltime position with a construction-based company as their in-house safety coordinator. After gaining additional field experience, we were fortunate enough to have her return to us in March of 2025. Her dedication to worker safety and attention to details are a valuable addition to the company.
Sharon Taylor works in our office. She is responsible for accounting, payroll and general office duties.
