The culture of any company, especially with safety, starts at the top. When all the executives believe in a safe work environment and do everything within their power to ensure everyone works in a safe manner, all safety equipment has been made available, training has been provided and the enforcement of the rules/guidelines is being done on a regular basis. Supervisors and workers will then “buy in" to the company's system.
Having and accepting open communication, ensuring worker's concerns are heard and addressed.
When these factors have been implemented, then a true safety culture has been established.
